Our clinic phones are very busy so it can sometimes be hard to reach us. Your call is important so please be patient and keep trying.
 

Eligibility Requirements for Cats

Operation PETS is an income qualified clinic. You MUST meet our eligibility requirements to use our services.

Pet owners qualify if they meet ONE of the following eligiblity requirements.

To save time when you call for appointment please let us know that you qualify and which one you qualify under.

Do you need appointments for more than one cat?

Deposits are required before we can make appointments for multiple cats. You will only owe the balance on the day of your appointment. You can make your deposit over the phone via credit/debit card, by sending us a money order, or by coming into our clinic Monday-Thursday between 10am-4pm.
If you cancel or re-schedule your deposit is refundable if you give us at least 24 hours notice.

Ferals and approved rescue groups/shelters do not require deposits.
NEW YORK STATE BENEFIT CARD FOR TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE, MEDICAID OR FOOD STAMPS

To be eligible, you MUST bring required documentation on morning of your appointment:

1. New York State Benefit ID Card
2. If your card does not have a picture must bring photo ID
3. If your card does not have issue date must bring proof that card is current (Approval Letter or Re-Certification Letter)

RECEIVE HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program)

To be eligible you MUST bring required documentation on morning of your appointment:

1. Photo ID
2. HEAP Verification Letter or proof of HEAP

INCOME (HEAP ELIGIBLE)

Qualify if your total gross monthly income for your household size is at or below the HEAP Income Guidelines (www.heaphelps.com).

To be eligible you MUST bring required documentation on morning of your appointment:

1. Photo ID
2. Last two pay stubs (or)
3. 2009 IRS 1040 (or)
4. 2009 W-2 (Wage & Tax Statement)

COLLEGE STUDENT

To be eligible you MUST bring required documentation on morning of your appointment:

1. Current Student ID
2. If no picture on Student ID must bring photo ID
3. If no date on Student ID must bring proof of enrollment (class schedule or bill for current semester)
FERAL CAT
No income qualification required but must be an educated caregiver and follow our Feral Cat Protocol.
MOM WITH KITTENS
Some moms with kittens qualify for our clinic (mom and kittens MUST all come to clinic for spay/neuter). Call us for more information on eligibility requirements.
