Operation PETS Celebrates 10,000 Surgeries

Gotti is an adorable seven month old Pit Bull mix. This handsome boy may not have known it when he was loaded into the car for a trip to Operation PETS on March 31, 2010, but he was destined to become our poster pet for responsible pet parenthood.

Gotti, you see, was the 10,000th animal sterilized at Operation PETS. Though Gotti seemed more surprised than honored, we obviously thought it was a milestone worth celebrating.

We eagerly awaited Gotti’s arrival at Operation PETS.

Gotti was presented with his "Congratulations Gotti" balloon.

Dr. Mary examines Gotti before his surgery.

Gotti makes lots of new friends during his visit.

Gotti shares the spotlight with his feline friend.

The staff at Operation PETS celebrates with Gotti.

Operation PETS is making a big difference in
pet overpopulation.
20,0000 surgeries? We know we can.
